You’ve been working at Maha for a while, how long have you been with us? You’ve now moved across to Maha East as Restaurant Manager, are you excited about the change of scenery?
It’s been just over 2 & a half years, it’s gone so fast! I’m excited about having my own venue, the new opportunities and different challenges of a smaller, faster paced restaurant and also being able to people watch out the window.
What type of music or artists will we be hearing from you at Maha East?
There’s a few music fanatics in the team so I’ll mainly leave them to fight over the playlist during service. But as soon as we’re packing up for the night I’ll probably put on a bit of Foo Fighters or Biffy Clyro while we’re having a drink to wind down.
If you had to pick just one, what dish do you think everyone must try when they dine at Maha East?
The lamb boreks with raisin jam or the Turkish dumplings either the vegetarian or beef or actually the vegan spiced chocolate ganache filled doughnuts. Picking one is too hard!
Now for some rapid-fire questions! Answer these in a couple of words. What’s your go-to cocktail?
Extra spicy Bloody Mary, with gin not vodka.
If you could have a drink with any celebrity, living or dead, who would it be?
David Attenborough or Audrey Hepburn.
What food are your craving right now?
Red or White
What’s your hidden talent?
It’s been a while but I used to be pretty good at playing the flute.
What’s your go to midnight snack?
Crumpets with marmite, reminds me of home!
